ANTHONY MUNNINGS

Sound Designer

The Black Smith (Linear & Non Linear)

During this particular class I challenged myself to grow and become resourceful to the best of my abilities and under the guidance of Professor Berzins, I can say that I've not only done that, but also gained a greater  sense of respect and reverence for the profession. This month we were task with linear sound design for a short cinematic cutscene for a game entitled "The Blacksmith " as well as non linear sound design and implementation using Wwise.

The tools utilised during the course of this month and the duration of this project were: Scarlett 18i20, Audio Technica microphone (AT2035), Logic Pro, Pro Tools and my H5 Zoom for field recording. The first thing I did  ( for the linear assignment) was review the video a few times and noted what was asked of me  then I started collecting the various sounds that I thought best suited the scene. After that task had been completed I compiled edited and mixed the sounds to get the final product.

For the Non-Linear  assignment, The first thing. I did was study the asset list and used that as my guid to collect mix and edit sounds, after doing so I opened Wwise and started the implementation process by first adding the sounds followed by mixing, and finally generating a sound bank which subsequently placed the sounds in game. Below we have the final result, please do enjoy.
